Magazines

I am a big fan of magazines because I LOVE getting stuff in the mail....especially spiritually-minded catalogs, magazines, and workshop listings. There are many great, informative, and enlightening periodicals these days and the list just keeps growing....we just signed up for a new one called "Pure Inspiration" and just received the premier Fall 2006 issue which included articles from Marianne Williamson, Masaru Emoto (Messages From Water), Napoleon Hill, and Paramahansa Yogananda, just to name a few. It does have the feel of a "new, still-developing" project, but I love to support new businesses in this genre. Here is the link to check it out for yourself:

Science of Mind-this monthly has beautiful articles, a daily reading (fabulous!), and has been in publication for 80 years!! I've heard they are re-doing the layout for 2007 and I can't wait to see it.

Body and Soul-a more commercial, mainstream mag with articles about holistic health, yoga, green practices, nutrition, etc. I find that it has improved tremendously over the past year and offers lots of interesting websites, recipes, and the articles have more depth than in previous years. Definitely worth a look!

I've got a Secret!

If you haven't seen the movie "The Secret" yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out! This documentary-style DVD offers a wonderful explanation of the Law of Attraction presented by several respected authors, speakers, and successful business people. When I first saw it, I was so excited that this material was being delivered in such a clear and easy to understand manner and also that so many people were going to be exposed to it. I was aleady familiar with the concepts but I "get it" at a deeper level each time I watch it....I know from experience how powerful the Law of Attraction is as I've seen it work in my life over and over again. I am SO grateful to have found this amazing gift!

The website for the Secret is http://thesecret.tv and it's a really fun, interactive site. You can download the entire movie to your computer or order the DVD, you can read about all the speakers from the film, or subscribe to the Secret newsletter. (I love this as they send you the latest info about the film's success and the plans for the sequel to be released next year.)

And just to show how powerful the film's message is and how much it is spreading, the speakers were featured on TWO separate Larry King Live programs in November, and were guests on the Ellen Degeneres Show on December 1st.
